Gary Lintern is the founder and director of Photography Experiences in the UK, a company that offers unique photography and stargazing workshops, events and education in North East England.
One of the biggest challenges of Gary’s business model was the seasonality of his training and tours.
“Normally summer for me is a pretty bad time in business because most of the photography I teach is night photography and dependent on dark skies. In the UK, we have three months where it doesn't get fully dark.”

Gary was ready to take things to the next level in his business as he set out to transition all his training to 100% online. The plan was to pre-record everything with additional Q&A sessions hosted on Zoom and offer that as an evergreen digital training. That way, he can do most of the work during the day, spend time with his family at night and unlock economies of scale not possible with the limitations of small in-person events.
The question was however, how to gain the skills he needed to effectively market these online.

“I am submitting something every month to have copy written for me and every week to have a review, because not only do I have a back catalog of courses, but also sales pages. And before I start moving on with sales pages and rewriting some of them, I need to get feedback. So every week, I'm getting feedback on a different offer in a different sales page. And actually, if that's all I ever got from Adaptive, it would be worth it.”
